Established in 2010, these schools are the second formal school branch founded by Venerable Master Hsuan Hua. Instilling Goodness Elementary School and the affiliated kindergarten aim to instill the practice of filial piety in its students. Developing Virtues Secondary School, from grades 7 to 12, aims to teach the students the importance of loyalty to one’s country. The mission of the schools is to educate children, teenagers, and young people to have virtuous character with wholesome thoughts and actions, and to be motivated to always be the best that one can be.

 

All teachers in the school are voluntary teachers. Having the eight virtues of filial piety, brotherhood, loyalty, trustworthiness, propriety, righteousness, honesty, and humility as its main educational mission, the school emphasizes equally the importance of academics, character development, student life, and extracurricular participation.

 

The schools can also offer admission to non-immigrant international students. It is the schools' mission and goal to propagate the Eight Virtues education to every corner of the world in order to unearth the essence of human kindness, to rebuild the broken morality, and to build strong and prosperous nations for a peaceful world.
